5lb 5oz sawyer largmouth

Caught my biggest bass ever yesterday on Sawyer using soft plastics.  The largemouth went 5lb 5oz.  Caught many others in the 9-10" range and 1 that was 12" that weighed about a pound.  Slow presentation was the key and a slight overcast didn't hurt either.

Speaking of wall hanger. I wish more people knew that you can buy replica mounts of your fish. If you take the measurements and pictures, you can get a replica that looks exactly like your fish. They last way longer than "fish" mounts. Plus you can still release the lunker to be caught again. My Dad has two and the details of the fish are identical to his pictures.

BassPro shops also offers the service.  That's where the club got the 7lb 12oz replica for the booth over 10 years ago.  Larry Gonczy's son, Lucas, was 14 yrs old (I believe) when he caught and released that monster in Silver Lake.

I was guessing in the $200-300 range for a good one. Probably not much more than using the real fish. But they will last forever and look better. Plus you don't have to kill the fish. A good blown up picture does the justice of the catch for almost nothing. The point is.....you caught a toad.....here's the proof.
