I have a quandary!

I have a three car garage.  It held both my wife and my cars and my boat.   Recently I have acquired a 1960 Chev El Camino.  It was my late father-in-law's and has always been garaged.  It is suppose to be for Caleb when he gets older.    I moved it in to the garage and moved our least valuable car to the driveway.  Now that the weather has gotten colder, my wife is insisting on moving my boat or El Camino to the outside.  I really can't justify moving the car (value wise) to the elements, but it leaves my boat in a tough spot.  Next to trading in my wife I'm not sure what to do.  I live in a neighborhood that has covenants on everything so I guess I'm sending my baby outside unless someone comes up with an ingenius plan.

Ideas are welcome. Undecided

Doug,
Put the El Camino in storage.  I keep my boat in a storage unit and it's just as good as a garage.  It's a 10'x30' unit, completely enclosed, locked (24hr access), and even has power.  In fact, I've seen several people store their "Sunday Drive" vehicles at that place.

I don't know what all is available in your neck of the woods, but I'd urge you to check out independant storage units as they are more apt to have these facilities (and not cost you an arm and a leg).  Chain storage companies usually don't have units big enough to store a car, or prohibit vehicle storage altogether; or if they do, they cost big $$.  Keep calling around - I'm sure you'll find a place that's reasonable.

we have a similar problem, too many vehicles - not enough space. We are considering buying one of those RV tents approx 10'x20' I believe they're about $200 from Costco and similar places, stick the boat in it and wrap the motor with a couple of blanket to prevent freezing.

During the Summer months we will take off the sides and use it like a Gazebo for outdoor lunches etc.
