C & R… Crotchety and Raunchy. OK, enough about Larry.
Hello Western Bass Club. My name is Richard Loth, and I will be your 2004 Greeter and Greenslips "chair" person. I live in Tacoma and work for the City of Tacoma. This will be my second year with the club. I used to fish bass around here a long time ago (back in the 70's) and then gave it up to pursue salmon. But since you are more likely to get salmon at Safeway then to catch them, I am back to Bassin'. And I'm glad that I found WBC.
Just going fishin' is a good time, but to have a club (more like a family) adds a lot to the experiences. This club is about helping and teaching each other to fish and to enjoy the camaraderie that is shared by all. I have been in quite a few different types of clubs but most of them were just a place to meet, pay your dues, and see how you could personally benefit from the club.
But WBC members are very outgoing, friendly, and always willing to "share". Whether it is a boat, lake information, or just experiences, you make it feel like it is "your" pleasure to help someone else out and to enrich their experience.
Therefore, it is "my" distinct pleasure to try and give something back to Western Bass Club by chairing this position for now and maybe more later.
So, "Greetings" from Rich
