AmBassador program update

Hey floaters and non-floaters,

Well, I think we can officially change from Freeze-Ins to Fish-Ins… was March 1st AWESONE or what? The day started without a cloud in the sky and the only change that happened was the sun came up. There was an awesome view of Mt. Rainier all day… it was picture perfect. This was the best turnout in a long time for a Fish/Freeze-in! About 16 people and 9-10 boats showed up for the fun. We had lotsa members new and old. Let's see: Cliff Kuppinger, Lil' Rocky Beemen, Richard Fazakerley and a friend, Brian Walker, Larry Sullivan, Daryl Snodgrass, Ron Hankinson, Chris James, Don Baxter, Ray Patricio, Lee and Becky Stevens, Rich Loth, and Brent Cooley. Did I miss anybody? Oh, Sherry and Jim Schaffer and Lynn Reynolds all showed up about the same time the food showed up, hmmm!

Because we could, we did something different this time for lunch. Larry Sullivan planned ahead and had pizza delivered to the boat launch. We all had a good time eating and getting to know each other better, then most of us went back out to get skunked again. Ron (club prez) Hankinson caught big fish, smallest fish, the only fish. It was this poor, pathetic little smallmouth that wasn't even ready to be away from his momma yet. Ok, ok, it was a 2.4 pounder, and yes I zeroed. Are ya happy now?

The next Fish-In will be April 5th on Lake Washington. I'm sorry! I know some are burnt out with Lake Washington, but I have reasons that I have to stay pretty close to home, or not go at all. We will meet at the Denny's (off of 405 exit #7) for breakfast at 6 am and meet at the Gene Coulon Launch about 7:30. Lunch will be at Ivar's (inside if it's raining, outside if nice weather) at 12:30. After lunch, those that want to go back out can and those that wanna go home can go. If you want, just show up for lunch at 12:30 I think the launch is still only $3 and there is always free parking past the boat launch.

Remember, no one stays on the dock at a Fish-In. Everyone floats! You don't have to pre-arrange a back seat for Fish-Ins. If you pre-arrange something with your AmBASSador, that's ok, but just because your AmBASSador can't make it doesn't mean you can't go. Just like this month, THE MORE THE MERRIER.

New members and family, remember you must turn in a fish for a greenslip to be able to get your certificates (see me for more details on that). AmBASSadors and AmBASSadees, thanks for being an active and productive part of the club! This is one of the fun parts of being the director. I get to award a member at the end of the year that has "shined", excelled, or gone over and beyond in making the club successful. I'll be watching you! Any questions or concerns please ask me or anybody else you feel comfortable with. Just like you, we all had to ask someone the same questions. Hope to see you at the next meeting! If not, see ya on the water!
