buckets of this precious commodity. One only had to see Larry release his ninth fish caught on a 4 inch finesse worm to KNOW that they worked! No more wondering! This was not some TV Fishing Celebrity fishing a private fish pond stocked full of monster fish. This was a guy just like me, fishing the same water as I, AND HE WAS CATCHING FISH! And if it worked for him, it would work for me! CONFIDENCE! What a gift!
    Most of our confidence in a lure, bait, or technique doesn't come to us by accident or through luck. Most of the time confidence is a gift passed on from one angler to another! 
    If you ask Rocky Beeman Junior when I became a "senko" fan - he'll point to the tournament where he hammered me from the back seat with that crazy stick-like bait. After he had limited and I hadn't yet caught my first fish, I became a believer! Discovering a package of never used senkos in my tackle box, I went on to have a very successful tournament. Do you think I will ever have to be convinced they work? No way! Rocky's gift to me that day was CONFIDENCE!
    One of the greatest gifts a bass club can give to new and fellow anglers is the gift of CONFIDENCE. That's what our educational entertainment and speakers at our meetings

are aimed at creating: confidence. With our ambassador program, new members receive the gift of confidence as a by product of spending time on the water with a veteran club member! Most clubs have tournaments, but not all clubs have the winners so willing to share their patterns and formula's for success when they come up to receive their trophies. We do! Why? Because one of the greatest gifts we can give one another is the knowledge and experience that leads to CONFIDENCE! 
    Someone I greatly respect once said "Life is not about you! It's not about hoarding, collecting, and having more than others. True life and true joy is about sharing - pouring yourself out for others!"  This is true in fishing too! If the sport of bass fishing is to live on and even thrive, then we need to share what other anglers have shared with us! (And if you haven't already discovered this; the greatest JOY in fishing comes from passing on what you have learned, to those just beginning!)  CONFIDENCE! Bass fishing is frustrating without it, and a blessing to the soul as it grows! So… "hat's off" to WBC for passing it on!
