Special Events

 
We have placed this ad on the Website, and it is possible that a volunteer may have come forward (between this edition of the Newsletter and our meeting)… but you will have to come to the meeting to find out.  How about you? 

If you can't attend this month's meeting, (where the final decision will be made) we'll post the final decision on the website the next day.  Or you can call any of the board members for information.  It's just a one time event - so you're considering it, don't hesitate to offer your time and talent! 

Coming Saturday, September 11^th - is the opportunity to touch a special child with the gift of taking them fishing through the Cast for Kids program!  If you are available,

AUGUST PICNIC CANCELLED?  THAT DEPENDS…

…on you.  As of the Newsletter deadline, the August 1^st Picnic at Lake Meridian is up in the air.  Why?  The Special Events position was vacated this month.  The good news is that Sue and Phil Hudgens have stepped forward to team lead "Special Events".  The bad news is they are leaving for vacation in the next few days and will have no time to pick up the slack in organizing the picnic on such short notice for August 1st.
 
SO, THE PICNIC IS CANCELLED, UNLESS... one of you great volunteers wants to step forward and run this one special event.  We have already put down $90 for a deposit at Lake Meridian... so if we don't want to lose it, your stepping forward would be a true blessing to the club!
